Alex is an insurance and reinsurance lawyer
with expertise in liability and first party coverages across a broad range of business classes.
Recent work has related to technology products, commercial software, financial institutions,
directors and officers, professional indemnity,
commercial property, PA insurance and casualty reinsurance. His work involves both defence work,
liability and coverage advice. He also advises on policy wordings and delivers seminars on
general insurance and specific classes of business.
One of Alex's specialisms is technology risks, encompassing technology products (software and
hardware), IT errors and omissions and coverage advice. He chairs the firm's Technology group which
spans both the insurance and corporate sectors of the firm.
In relation to property, Alex has advised over the years on a range of significant coverage
issues. He has also recently completed a study for property insurance clients on the implications of climate
change.
Alex is also an experienced reinsurance practitioner and advises in relation to both treaty and
facultative business.
