Injunctions

Our Commercial Disputes Group has significant experience in both obtaining and fending off injunctions in a wide range of fields, including:

• Intellectual property disputes such as copyright, patents and trade marks
• Preventing misuse of confidential or other proprietary information
• Threatened breach of restrictive covenants on team moves
• Freezing orders
• Search and seize orders

Examples of relevant work

• Advising on a case involving misappropriation of investors' funds (total misappropriated funds approximately £4m) - we secured a worldwide freezing injunction against an independent financial adviser and obtained summary judgment on a claim for fraud and breach of contract
• Acting for a company in relation to a shareholders' dispute arising from the fall out from a pre-pack sale of an insolvent company by administrators in overturning an injunction restraining the company from continuing its business pending trial of the issues.
• Defending allegations of misuse of confidential information and associated injunction application against our client and a large team of staff on the move of the team from one employer to another (insurance industry)
