We recognise that pensions can be a complex – and sometimes contentious – subject. So we provide practical advice in plain English on all aspects of pensions law, enabling you to achieve the best solution for your business.
We mainly advise companies that run their own trust-based pension schemes and corporates/investors (for mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and insolvency) on all aspects of pension-related issues, and we have particular experience of advising in relation to large or medium-sized occupational pension schemes (both defined benefit and defined contribution).
We can help with strategic planning or day-to-day advice or advise on standalone projects, such as scheme mergers, changes to future benefits or the pension aspects of commercial transactions. We’ll help you avoid disputes where possible but, if they do arise, our pensions litigation team has the expertise to help you handle these with the minimum cost and disruption, always with a focus on finding the most sensible, workable solutions to your problems. We’re also happy to work alongside your existing corporate lawyers, if they don’t have a UK pensions capability.
We can also provide bespoke training and seminars to help you keep up to date with the issues in this ever-evolving market, so you can anticipate and avoid any potential problems.
