Three more partners join RPC in Bristol

  • Date:
    05 March 2012

City law firm RPC (Reynolds Porter Chamberlain LLP) has added three more partners to its ranks in Bristol today with the arrival of Jeremy Barnes, Peter Mansfield and Robert Morris from CMS Cameron McKenna, bringing the total number of partners in RPC's Bristol Office to six.

The partners are joined by legal director Rebecca Smith, also from Camerons.

RPC has also recruited five further associates, relocated another from London and created two training seats. By mid-April, RPC's team in Bristol will number almost 40.

The office is initially focusing on defendant professional indemnity (PI) work largely deriving from the London Market. It handles complex claims on behalf of a broad range of professionals, including legal, construction, financial services, pension professionals, trustees, accountants and brokers.

RPC Managing Partner Jonathan Watmough says: "These new partners and the host of recent hires we have made significantly expand our operation in Bristol, and give us an excellent platform to be able to offer the quality service outside London that we know our clients want."

"Our new colleagues will integrate with our top-ranked PI team and add greater depth and breadth to our award-winning insurance practice overall."

RPC will also be moving into new premises on 12 March. Based in the heart of Bristol's business district and a short walk from Temple Meads station, the firm has taken an entire floor in the state of the art Temple Circus building, giving it the space to accommodate the ambitious growth plans it has for this new office.
