Why RPC?

For us, success comes from building real-life relationships.

Real-life relationships with our clients as much as our people. And it comes from thinking creatively to achieve the best commercial solutions. We thrive in an environment that’s collaborative, forward-thinking and where you’re free to express your personality. An environment that allows you to make the most of your strengths.

Our Work

We offer top quality legal services across numerous sectors. Recognised as leaders in industries ranging from retail to insurance, technology to media, and well beyond, we have the expertise to handle bet-the-business litigation, complex regulatory challenges, transformational transactions and so much more. And we've also established a Centre for Legal Leadership and helped to found TerraLex, a leading global legal network. Meanwhile, our lawyers are regular commentators on key issues in the legal sector.

Hybrid working

Working at RPC opens the door to a fun and collaborative environment no matter what your position, department or where you work.  Find out more about our dynamic working principles in the hybrid working document at the bottom of the page.

Life at RPC

We all know work’s important. But we think downtime’s vital too. That’s why you can enjoy all kinds of activities and a real social life. It’s not just drinks after work (although that certainly happens). It’s eating out, sports teams, exploring culture and singing your heart out in our choir. All of these activities are taking place in our hybrid working environment.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)

Inclusion & Diversity at RPC

People are at the heart of everything that we do. And that is critical to our success.

We want every person at RPC to feel valued, respected and free to be themselves. And it makes business sense too - different backgrounds, different perspectives and different experiences all make us who we are and mean that we can offer the most innovative and diverse thinking to our clients.

We've put into place a number of initiatives and development programmes to not only support our people as they progress through their careers, but to also ensure that our population is as reflective of society as possible.

Internally, we have eight DEIB internal networks – we call them 'Communities' – focussed on gender, ethnicity, mental health, caring responsibilities, social mobility, LGBT+, faith and disability. All eight DEIB Communities span across our RPC offices and are open to all employees across the Firm. Each of our Communities has not only a Partner sponsor, but also a Board member sponsor to ensure transparent two-way communication between all our RPC people and Senior Leadership. Our Communities meet regularly and are instrumental in helping us drive change and promote inclusion at RPC.

We also partner with a number of organisations including;

  • Aspiring Solicitors (and we are a Founder Member of the Aspiring Solicitors Foundation)
  • Business Disability Form
  • SEO
  • The Women's Insurance Network
  • Stonewall
  • WorkLife Central
  • Law Society's City Law Firm Diversity & Inclusion Forum
  • Mindful Business Charter

Responsible Business

We are committed to being a responsible business at RPC and in addition to our DEIB activity, Pro Bono, Environment and Charity also make up our Responsible Business Programme. All of our Responsible Business activity feeds into our ESG strategy, a priority for the Firm which is led by our Managing Partner, James Miller, and our ESGAG Advisory Group.

Being a responsible business is not only important for our clients, but also our people, to reflect our RPC values and ensure we are giving back to the community and environment around us.
