COVID-19: Important guidance when visiting us
In the light of current public health concern about Covid-19 we are writing to you to highlight the precautions we are taking as a firm and those we ask you take to minimise the risk to anyone coming into our offices.
About youIf in the last 14 days you have travelled to countries listed as category 1 or 2 by the government in this link: please let us know immediately so we can discuss whether it is appropriate for you to attend the office. Government guidance can be found here.
If you experience the relevant symptoms after attending our office, please would you email Rachel.Davis@rpc.co.uk in our People team with your contact details so that we can manage communications with public health authorities, fellow attendees, and our own people. We will keep the information as confidential as we can, mindful of our public health and data protection obligations.
We are suggesting that when you visit, you don’t feel obliged to shake hands.
We are taking a number of precautions, reflecting UK Government advice, some of which are outlined below.
- We ask everyone at RPC to familiarise themselves with public health guidance, making appropriate risk assessments that are personal to their own situation. For example, we are encouraging colleagues to stagger their commute or to work from home, to “meet” virtually and other appropriate measures, including voluntary self-isolation.
- We have restricted business travel to and from our offices in Asia and other hotspots and are implementing a “strictly necessary only” policy for business travel between UK cities.
Cleaning and hygiene
- We continue to take steps to ensure all our offices are safe places to work and we encourage everybody to prioritise their personal health and hygiene by washing hands thoroughly and regularly and using the hand sanitiser gel which is provided around our buildings.
- We are continuing to disinfect/clean regularly throughout the day particularly in our public spaces. Hand sanitiser gel will be available in our meeting rooms and elsewhere on site.
If you would like to know more, please get in touch with your RPC contact in the first instance and they will re-direct your query if necessary.
