COVID-19 – a pathologist's perspective (with a legal twist)
Our Life Sciences and Medical Malpractice team are holding a webinar on COVID-19 from a pathologist's perspective.
Duration: 1 hour
Event type: Webinar
Provided by: RPC
For this webinar we will be joined by Consultant Pathologist Professor John Schofield from Maidstone Hospital. Professor Schofield will address controversial questions, including:
•What really is COVID-19?
•Why are some people seriously ill while others don't even notice they have it?
•Will a vaccine give us a route back to normality?
•Is there any effective treatment?
•Why aren't we hearing more about antibody testing
Dorothy Flower will conclude the session by looking at Professor Schofield's observations in a legal context, asking:
•What novel claims do we now think are likely to arise from COVID-19?
•How can those claims be defended?
