Specialising in professional indemnity, with a focus on defendant work (predominantly solicitors), Harriet has experience in dealing with a variety of large insurer clients and their insured professionals.

Harriet works on a variety of both pre-action and litigated claims at all stages of proceedings, including all aspects of costs.  Harriet is regularly involved in settlement negotiations, including mediations, and has experience of a wide range of claims, from low value claims to multi-million pound disputes, some involving multiple parties.  Harriet also advises on policy coverage issues.

Harriet undertook an eight month secondment at the International Insurance Company of Hannover where she worked as a claims handler on claims against a variety of professionals, including solicitors, accountants, brokers and those working in all aspects of construction work (architects, designers, engineers).  In addition, Harriet oversaw a limited number of D&O claims.
