A corporate finance specialist, Janney Chong assists mainland Chinese businesses with IPOs, fundraisings, and M&A transactions.

Her practice covers a broad spectrum of corporate finance and general commercial transactions, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings, debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, public takeovers, compliance and regulatory matters. 

She has acted for issuers and underwriters in numerous securities listings on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, and has advised companies listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited on various types of transactional and compliance matters.

Janney is qualified in both Hong Kong and England and Wales. She speaks fluent English and Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and Shanghainese).

Advised Goodbaby International Holdings Limited, a leading international manufacturer of durable juvenile products in China, on its US$188.4m Hong Kong IPO and placement pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S 

Advised Gemdale Properties and Investment Corporation Limited, one of the leading property developers focusing on property development, investment and management of residential, commercial and business parks in China and a Hong Kong Main Board-listed company, on its approximately HK$1.82bn allotment and issue of new shares to OUE Lippo Limited and Sino Water Limited Partnership 

Advised a Chinese property developer on its acquisition of seven target companies in China from another Chinese property developer at a consideration of approximately HK$5bn. Both Chinese property developers are Hong Kong Main Board-listed companies
