Acting for clients on IP rights, sports law, technology, data protection and general commercial matters, Josh Charalambous supports clients on both contentious and non-contentious issues.
This diverse range of work sees Josh act for clients in a variety of sectors including sport, FMCG, retail, technology, insurance, and pharmaceutical/life sciences.
His contentious experience includes High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court claims as well as mediation, arbitration and other forms of ADR. On the non-contentious side, Josh advises clients on sponsorship/endorsement arrangements, brand protection, licensing, and commercial contracts.
His sports law practice includes acting on commercial disputes and regulatory, disciplinary and governance issues.
Josh has authored a number of articles for LawInSport and Sweet & Maxwell's Entertainment Law Review on legal issues in sport and IP.
Josh also advises on coverage, monitoring, defence, pursuit and policy wordings in IP insurance matters and has spent time on secondment to the claims team of a major global insurer.
