RPC Consulting bolsters capability with senior actuarial team hire
RPC Consulting – the insurance consultancy arm of RPC – has appointed four senior insurance actuarial professionals to bolster its growing team in London and Cambridge. Three of the four – Pete Lee, James Norman and Tony Lovick – all worked at EMB (now Willis Towers Watson). Natasha Regan, the most recent recruit, joins from the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).
Pete has over 25 years' experience in non-life insurance and joins RPC Consulting to help drive the pricing and predictive analytical service line within the firm's actuarial practice. At Towers Watson, Pete was Head of General Insurance Consulting for Asia-Pacific and Global Operations Leader for Usage-Based Insurance. Pete was a Partner in EMB.
Tony joins as Director of Pricing. In his last role he focussed on general insurance pricing and, in particular, insurance telematics. He joins RPC Consulting's pricing team to support the development of the predictive analytics capability. Tony was a Director at EMB for three years having spent 21 years with Aviva Group.
James joins as Director of Research. He brings with him 11 years' experience in financial modelling for insurance companies, including non-life capital modelling and economic scenario generation. James will help RPC Consulting develop cutting-edge solutions to quantitative capital and economic problems by leveraging the sophistication and computing power of the Tyche platform – RPC’s high speed analytic platform.
Natasha has spent the last two years as Project Director for the FRC, including directing a cross-sector project to identify risks to the public interest relating to actuarial work. Previous to the FRC, Natasha was Head of Risk Actuarial at Direct Line. Natasha joins RPC Consulting as a Director and will be focusing on expanding the business' non-life sector.
All four are Fellows of the Institute of Actuaries.
RPC Consulting said: "Pete, Tony, Natasha and James are market leaders in their field and their appointment to RPC Consulting has provided us with increased strength and depth across the actuarial disciplines.
"I have worked with Pete, Tony and James in the past and I know that their experience, personalities and dedication will enhance our offering to our clients. In addition, their experience of actuarial software will add paramount value to the expansion of our capability with our industry-leading modelling technology, Tyche. Adding Natasha to the team is a huge boost for us. Her knowledge of the technical regulatory implications for the market and her deep-seated practical and pragmatic knowledge of the insurance market significantly enhance our capability.”
RPC Consulting was launched in early 2015 and acquired software and actuarial business Marriott Sinclair in a significant move which saw it gain Tyche, a state of the art financial modelling tool that explores the many uncertainties affecting the financial outcome of projects, strategies or business opportunities.
