Published on 28 June 2022

International law firm RPC has advised Dellner Polymer Solutions, part of Sweden's Dellner Group, on its acquisition of high-end engineering supplier Ferrabyrne Ltd, as part of the Dellner Group's continuing global expansion.

The acquisition will augment Dellner's global product offering and increase opportunities in wider markets, including North America, Europe, India and China.  A link to Dellner's press release is here.

Ferrabyrne, which was backed by an investment from YFM Equity Partners (YFM) in 2016, is a leading high-end engineering supplier of rubber-to-metal bonded components and rail suspension systems to the global market.

Dellner Polymer Solutions provides technologically advanced vibration control, rubber fabrication and bonding solutions for the global market.
The acquisition will build on the strength of both businesses and create a global offering supplying vibration control, polymer and glazing solutions as a single, integrated package, particularly to the rail industry.

Corporate retail Partner Jeremy Cunningham, who led the RPC team, said: “We are delighted to work again with Dellner Group in helping them achieve another chapter in their strategic growth, having advised on several of their previous acquisitions."

Mikael Petersson, CEO of Dellner Polymer and Glass Solutions, said: "We were duly impressed by the professionalism, skill and patience provided by RPC's expert lawyers, who ably advised us through the process and helped secure a successful acquisition."

Cunningham was assisted by Ben Magahy, Clare Rooney and Kate O'Malley, alongside Ben Roberts from the Tax team.
