Published on 07 April 2022

RPC has advised the administrators of Corbin & King Limited on the sale of its restaurant business, which operates a number of renowned restaurants including the Wolseley and the Delaunay, to Minor International PCL, a Thai based hospitality company.

Minor was the successful party in an auction to acquire the business of Corbin & King following its entry into administration in early 2022.

The RPC team was led by RPC's Head of Business Restructuring and Insolvency Finella Fogarty supported by Tim Moynihan (Partner). The transaction team also included Will Beck and James Whelan from the Restructuring & Insolvency team together with experts from across the firm.

Geoff Rowley & Ian Corfield, partners at specialist business advisory firm FRP, were appointed as Joint Administrators of Corbin & King Limited at the end of January with the auction taking place on April 1.

Commenting on the sale, Finella Fogarty said: "We are delighted to have supported the FRP team and the Joint Administrators Geoff Rowley & Ian Corfield in running a competitive auction to drive value and to save Corbin & King, which includes a number of much-loved London restaurants including the institutional Wolseley and the Delaunay."

Tim Moynihan added: "The transaction highlights the strengths that team and the firm has in high profile and complex matters in the retail and leisure sector. It was a great opportunity to use those skills and our understanding of the sector to achieve a positive outcome for the business."
