RPC promotes four UK Partners and two Directors in Singapore
Promotions split evenly between Insurance and Commercial sides of the business
City law firm, RPC has promoted four lawyers to Partner in the UK and two to Director in Singapore.
Toby Higginson, Chris Ross, Toby Savage and David Thorne have all been made Partner, effective 1 May.
All new Partners are part of the firm's London office and fall within the following practice areas:
Toby Higginson- Professional & Financial Risks
Toby has extensive experience of advising insurers on a variety of claims including financial institutions, D&O, and professional indemnity claims, often involving parties in a number of jurisdictions and complex coverage issues.
Chris Ross- Banking Litigation
Chris specialises in banking and finance and competition related disputes. He advises on matters relating to structured finance, complex derivatives, ISDA agreements and related disputes.
Toby Savage- Energy & International Property
Toby specialises in insurance and reinsurance disputes, with a focus on energy (onshore and offshore), marine, power, mining and property claims worldwide.
David Thorne- Construction & Projects
David has extensive experience working with clients in construction and engineering projects and support services to resolve complex and often high profile disputes.
News of the Partner promotions in the UK comes as two lawyers in RPC Premier Law – the Singapore Joint Law Venture – have been promoted to Director, with See Chern Yang and Erlene Tan both making the grade.
Chern Yang is a commercial litigator and accredited mediator, while Erlene is an M&A and Corporate Restructuring lawyer.

Both Toby H and David are promoted from the Legal Director role, while Chris and Toby S were Senior Associates. Chern Yang and Erlene were both Legal Directors.
