Published on 03 July 2020

City-headquartered law firm RPC has retained 92% of UK Trainees who are set to qualify in September 2020, meaning 11 out of 12 trainees have secured NQ solicitor roles. The remaining trainee decided not to join the qualification process as she is pursuing a career outside of law.

Out of the 11 trainees who qualified this year, 9 are based in RPC's London and two are based in Bristol.

RPC Partner and Training Principal Simon Hart said: "We have always tried to make our qualification decisions based on the longer-term view of the needs of the business. That was very much the case this year. We have a very strong group of trainees qualifying in September and it is testament to their quality and commitment over the last two years that every single one of the eleven trainees who applied was offered and accepted a permanent role with the firm."

This intake of trainees will be joining some of the firm's core areas with five joining the Insurance practice (two in Construction and three in Professional & Financial Risks); two joining Commercial & Banking Litigation; two going to the IP & Technology team; and one going to Commercial, Technology & Outsourcing team and Media team respectively.
