Jake Hardy is an experienced banking and financial services litigator, with a particular focus on complex products and technical quantum and causation issues. He is a Partner in RPC's market-leading financial litigation practice.

Jake's primary focus for the past 20 years has been in complex banking, capital markets and financial markets disputes.

He has advised on numerous disputes involving derivatives, structured products, leveraged loans, hedging arrangements and securities lending/borrowing arrangements, as well as a broad spectrum of disputes involving fund investments, bond and other financial instrument defaults and restructurings, trade and asset finance.

Jake has acted on some of the foremost cases on misselling investments and products, defective financial advice, and mismanagement of assets, collateral and portfolios.

Acting for a broad range of clients, he regularly acts for banks, asset managers, private equity houses, hedge funds and high net worth individuals. He has a particular interest and ability in the analysis of complex contracts and dealing with issues of causation and loss in the context of heavyweight financial litigation.

Jake also acts on fraud claims and asset tracing, general commercial disputes, arbitrations, and public law and judicial review, generally in a financial industry context.
