Published on 15 March 2024

International law firm RPC has launched RPCCyber_ an app that provides vital breach response information and guidance and specialist lawyers around the clock, at the touch of a button.

Cyber-attacks continue to grow in prevalence and sophistication with many outsmarting and outpacing humans, and even starting to incorporate artificial intelligence (AI). What’s known as 'offensive AI' will enable cybercriminals to direct targeted attacks at unprecedented speed and scale while flying under the radar of traditional, rule-based detection tools.

Richard Breavington, Partner and Head of Cyber & Tech Insurance at RPC says: "With offensive AI on the horizon, organisations need to adopt new defences to fight back. Cyber-insurance has a key role to play, but RPCCyber_ is proactive move to understand and manage the evolving threat landscape."

Pre-breach training is provided by the app as well as the ability to access in the moment support should a cyber incident occur. Plus, the RPC back catalogue of Cyber_Bytes, a round-up of key developments in cyber, tech and evolving risk.

"When alerted to a breach, the RPCCyber_ team responding will assist to ensure the incident is contained, the threat eradicated, and future losses mitigated. All in addition to identifying compromised data, compliance with data protection regulations, supporting communication and assessing liability exposures," explains Breavington.

Prevention is better than cure

The pre-breach guidance and training offered by RPCCyber_ allows users to address strategic cyber considerations using a technical risk assessment, war game scenarios as well as tabletop workshops and to access guides and response playbooks.

The app is available to download from the Apple Store and Google Play.
