Mamata is a Partner in the General Liability and Medical team.

Mamata's work covers complex personal injury cases involving fatalities and/or catastrophic injury, Product Liability claims, policy coverage and incidents involving health and safety / environmental investigations.

Mamata advises clients who are being investigated by various enforcement authorities including the Police, Health & Safety Executive, Local Authorities, Trading Standards and Fire Authorities. 

She also advises clients on a range of product liability issues, including liability claims and issues surrounding product recall.

  • R v Counsel- successful defence of a fireworks operator originally charged with seven counts of manslaughter (subsequently dropped) who was acquitted at Bristol Crown Court of an offence under section 3(2) of the Health & Safety Work Act 1974 arising from the tragic crash on the M5 motorway in November 2011
  • Representation of an individual investigated for Gross Negligence Manslaughter – no charges brought
  • Advising a client in relation to their potential liability arising from a food product which had been contaminated.
  • Representing a client during an investigation for breach of an environmental permit.
