Aimee Talbot
Knowledge Lawyer

Aimee joined RPC in 2013 and worked in the Bristol Lawyers' Liability & Regulatory team until April 2023, when she joined the Knowledge team as an insurance Knowledge Lawyer. 

Aimee specialises in insurance policy coverage disputes (especially solicitors' PII and D&O) and lawyers' liability claims.  She has a particular interest in fraud & dishonesty and buyer-funded development claims and is passionate about DEIB issues. 

Aimee's role as one of the insurance Knowledge Lawyers includes drafting guidance notes, precedents, articles and training materials, as well as carrying out ad hoc research and helping to keep colleagues up-to-date on news and trends affecting the insurance market.

  • successfully pursuing a number of arbitral proceedings against prior year insurers in disputes over attachment
  • investigating allegedly dishonest solicitors where client money is missing
  • advising on block notification of ground rent review claims
  • advising professional indemnity insurers on dishonesty declinature following indemnity conference
  • providing complex coverage advice on a variety of issues arising under D&O policies
  • defending firm of Registered European Lawyers against multi-million pound claims arising out of purchases of property off-plan in Italy
  • acting for lead defendant in the ‘Right to Buy Litigation’
