Ian specialises in data breach response and technology-based insurance litigation claims.

A member of RPC's award-winning ReSecure team, Ian regularly advises clients in relation to cyber security incidents, with both national and global ramifications.  This includes advice on regulatory notifications, such as to the Information Commissioner's Office and under the UK General Data Protection Regulation generally to individuals and other parties.  He also advises clients in relation to subsequent litigation arising out of such incidents, including data subject claims and claims in relation to other third parties such IT service providers.  Ian is also very familiar with the triage and co-ordination role involved in responding to urgent matters having worked with a variety of other service providers in the field as well as counsel in multiple jurisdictions.     

In relation to technology disputes, Ian has extensive experience of advising in relation to both liability and coverage.
