Josh is an Associate in the Real Estate and Construction team.
Josh is an Associate in the RPC Real Estate and Construction team, advising developer, investor, retail, landlord and tenant clients on construction, engineering, energy and infrastructure projects.
Josh holds substantial in-house commercial experience and practical knowledge of construction projects, gained over a 10-year employment at the international real estate developer, Lendlease. During his time at Lendlease, Josh operated across all areas of the business including development, construction and investment management winning employee awards along the way.
Josh has gained experience in advising on a range of construction documentation and procurement options across the UK acting for developers, contractors and consultants. Originally trained as a Construction Manager graduating with a degree from Reading University with First Class Honours, Josh spent two years working on live construction sites at the Lendlease flagship urban regeneration project, International Quarter London.
Josh joined the Lendlease legal team as a paralegal in 2018, commencing the GDL at the same time which he completed with Commendation. Josh went on to start his training contract in 2021, alongside studying the LPC which he completed with Distinction, qualifying as a Solicitor in February 2023.
Relevant work
- Advising Lendlease Construction on the tender of a £200m D&B project in the City.
- Advised a consultant in the tender and operation of a series of framework agreements and call off contracts in relation to Manchester Airport Group.
- Assisted in the drawdown of finance from Homes England to the Silvertown Partnership in respect of the first phase of development at Silvertown Quays.
- Acted for Land Securities in the sale of 6-9 Harbour Exchange to Blackstone European Property Income Fund
