“My focus is always on being incredibly approachable and commercial”.

"I love working in insurance as I get to work with business leaders across a huge variety of sectors, from tech startups to global institution, providing workable and commercial solutions for my clients.

I have a real depth of international experience. I’ve advised US and European clients on business immigration, and recently advised a Chinese retail client on a diverse range of matters regarding their staff in the UK, including issues around directorships.

I am great at analysing issues and distilling the key points from the narrative to determine the best strategy.  My focus is always on being incredibly approachable and commercial, and providing pragmatic, direct, useful advice that is clear, robust, and nuanced – and not overly risk-adverse.

I work as a team with my clients, setting out a road map and likely timescales. I like to be very clear about what they need to provide and what they can expect from me. Personally, I like to get on the telephone to clarify instructions and deliver important updates rather than engaging in lengthy back and forth emails.”

Kim’s recent work highlights:

Providing support and advice to Fraser Group plc and its subsidiaries on the full spectrum of non-contentious employment advisory matters.

Advising the Employment General Counsel of an international supplier of medical equipment on the full spectrum of non-contentious employment advisory matters.

Acting for Insurers and insured in the defence of litigated disputes, including recent defending claims of whistleblowing, disability discrimination, and equal pay.
