Whitney boasts specialist expertise in retail financial services with a focus on consumer credit, payment services and e-money. With her financial services regulatory knowledge and market experience, she understands the professional pressures facing in-house legal counsels from her time working in-house before returning to private practice. “Honesty is always the key.”

“By being approachable, commercially minded and straight talking, I aim to build long lasting relationships with clients.

Maintaining that open-minded approach means that clients can feel comfortable coming to me with not just their day-to-day regulatory needs but also any other issues they might be facing.

Of course, honesty is always the key.  It means that clients can understand any risks they may face, while we’re helping them achieve their strategic aims compliantly.”

Whitney’s recent work highlights:

Working with a multinational retailer on a white-labelled partnership agreement with an authorised consumer credit lender and small payments institution to offer a running digital account credit product to its customers.

Advising a major insurance broker on its new partnership with a premium finance provider, including negotiation of all transaction documents and regulatory advice across the structure.

Supporting a consumer credit lender on the purchase of a credit portfolio and migration of the book and its customers.
