Yuki advises on commercial litigation and arbitration, as well as regulatory and employment matters, with a particular focus on the professional and financial services sector.

She also advises on a wide range of employment law matters, including statutory and contractual benefits, enforceability of post-termination restrictions, drafting and interpretation of employment contracts and internal policies, planning and conducting internal investigations, and handling of grievance, dismissal, redundancy and team departure, acting for both employers and employees. 

Highlights of her experience include: 

  • Acting for a high net-worth individual against a global bank in relation to alleged unauthorized transactions 
  • Acting for the vendor of a tech start-up against the purchaser for failure to complete in an HKIAC arbitration
  • Advising an audit firm on a negligence claim brought by the liquidators of a company it formerly audited
  • Advising a testing laboratory on a negligence claim arising from the investigation on the collapse of a residential building
  • Advising a global tech company on calculation of statutory benefits under the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance
  • Advising a law firm in relation to suspected leakage of confidential information due to team departure
  • Advising a senior fund manager on the termination of his employment involving complex remuneration package and their exit from related investments in the same group
  • Advising a top trader on renegotiation of their employment contract
