Alex Haines

Alex was called to the bars of England & Wales, Ireland, and New York, and was appointed as Sanctions Officer at the Caribbean Development Bank last year. He is an expert in Multilateral Development Banks, their sanctions regime and global investigations, having been instructed in cases involving the World Bank Group, IADB, AsDB and AfDB.  He authored the new chapter on the Sanctions Regime of MDBs for Lissack and Horlick on Bribery and Corruption (3rd edition, Lexis Nexis) and is on the Attorney General’s Panel of Counsel.

John McKendrick QC

A former Caribbean Attorney General, John was appointed last year as Sanctions Appeals Officer at the Caribbean Development Bank. He has been instructed in recent years in cases involving both the World Bank Group and the Inter-American Development Bank. He writes the Latin American and Caribbean chapter of Lissack and Horlick on Bribery and Corruption (3rd edition, Lexis Nexis) and is fluent in Spanish.
