Paul Joukador

Partner

Paul is an expert in commercial, outsourcing, and technology matters. He specialises in complex – and often unusual - commercial contracts, international supply chain arrangements, new product launches in the UK and Europe, technology contracts, platform rules, commercial networks and member arrangements, media buying and new technologies (including block chain and AI). Paul typically represents retailers, brands, manufacturers, tech and media companies, and service providers. He is a member of the Society for Computers and the Law.

“I strongly believe in a plain English, jargon-free approach – especially when it comes to tech!”

“I specialise in tech and retail. Retail is very satisfying because we see the tangible output of our work through new product launchs or brands coming to market.  Tech is equally fascinating, because it’s in everything we do and makes the world go round!

I have significant international experience, especially working on pan-European supply arrangements, US clients expanding into Europe, and cross-border transactions.

I pride myself on technically excellent work that is presented in a pragmatic and business-orientated way, and is very focused on problem solving.

My approach to client work is all about providing answers upfront so clients have confidence that we can help them achieve their goals. That, and avoiding surprises, especially on fees. I’m responsive, friendly, and down to earth, and stay in regular contact with my clients, without the hard sell.”

Paul’s recent work highlights:

Advising Stella McCartney on the buyout of her existing joint venture with Kering and the subsequent entry into a new arrangement with LVMH.

Advised a major UK supermarket on the outsourcing of its regional distribution centres, logistical arrangements for store deliveries, and strategic ventures for expanding sales.

Advised a transport service on all aspects of the launch of a new UK service utilizing digital booking and payments.
