Joseph Akwaboa

Associate

Joseph is a commercial associate advising on commercial, data protection, sport, advertising and marketing issues.

Joseph has experience across a wide range of data privacy matters, including GDPR and PECR compliance, cross-border data transfer and data processing agreements. Joseph's experience also includes advising high-profile clients on a broad range of commercial matters.
Joseph also has extensive in-house experience, Joseph is currently on secondment in the EU Data Protection Legal Team at Meta and has spent time on secondment in the Commercial and Outsourcing team at Aviva. 

Joseph is also a member of RPC's Sport's Group,  and is a co-editor of RPC's Sport's Ticker fortnightly publications. 

Prior to commencing his training contract at RPC, Joseph was a paralegal at an international insurance company and a leading talent management company for clients in the Sports and Entertainment industry. Joseph was also a paralegal in our General Liability and Medical team working on high profile litigation claims. Joseph holds a First Class Honours in Law (LLB) from the University of the West of England, Bristol.
