Accolade comes as international law firm celebrates 10th anniversary in Asia

RPC Asia has been named Insurance Law Firm of the Year at the Kingfisher Asian Legal Business (ALB) Hong Kong Law Awards in the same week as officially marking the firm's 10th anniversary in the region.

The prestigious awards, now in its 21st year, pay tribute to outstanding performance of private practitioners and in-house teams in Asia.

This latest accolade for RPC tops off a 'remarkable decade' of exponential growth in Asia for the international law firm, which in the last two years alone has doubled the number of Partners and achieved a combined revenue increase between its Singapore and Hong Kong offices of 35%.

Since first opening its doors over 10 years ago, the Singapore office has grown almost ten-fold, from two lawyers and a small support team, to 31 people, including 21 lawyers.

In Hong Kong, the office has expanded to the largest in the region with 65 people and almost triple the number of lawyers from the original 13 to 37.

The firm's Asia offering also includes dedicated desks for PRC, Japan, Korea and Indonesia.

RPC has a market-leading insurance team and last year the firm launched Global Access Lawyers – a connected global platform providing insurer clients easy access to recognised insurance law specialists across the globe.

Managing Partner Antony Sassi said: "This is a wonderful accolade for RPC. While in recent years we have been gaining a lot of recognition - in both Hong Kong and Singapore for our dispute resolution prowess– it's gratifying to receive recognition for the enduring strength and excellence of our market-leading insurance team.

"We are extremely grateful for the support of our clients, without whom this achievement would not have been possible.

"RPC is rightly proud of this award and comes just as we mark our 10th anniversary in the region. If the first ten years are an indication of what the next ten will bring, then we have very good reason to feel optimistic for the bright future ahead."
